Doug is an informative host that responds quickly and kindly. The accommodation fit all of our groups’ needs and is one of the best values around Lake Tahoe! I’d highly recommend this location for anyone looking for close access to all the beautiful areas surrounding Lake Tahoe.
Doug was very responsive and answered all of our questions in a timely manner, ensuring that our trip was a pleasant one. The cabin is in a great location and is stocked with most everything you need. One thing to note, while it says 4 bedrooms, one of the rooms is actually a den. Overall we were very comfortable during our stay and the hot tub is amazing – it’s pristine and such a welcome treat after a long day.
What an awesome weekend at the perfect house! Doug was a great host to myself and 5 other Active Duty military members. The house was perfect for a weekend get-a-way with all the amenities one could ask for. It was just the right distance to and from town and all the major sightseeing spots in South Lake Tahoe. If I find myself back here in Tahoe I’ll definitely be looking into staying here again!
The cabin was great for our long weekend trip. It fit the 10 of us just right! And, the hot tub was all ready for us when we got there. The kitchen supplies were perfectly stocked for us to make breakfast, and the cabin was just a short drive into town to hit up the many restaurants. The two TV setups were great for us to relax to a movie after a long day of skiing too. We would definitely stay in Doug’s cabin again!
Doug’s cabin was awesome! It had a really welcoming feel. Doug is very quick and responsive to any questions you may have. My friends and I loved the fact that when we got there after snow boarding that the hot tub was already ready for us. It has everything you need for a cabin stay. The kitchen has all the necessities things you would need to cook, eat, and clean! It’s décor was beautiful. We especially loved the 3D rug in one of the downstairs bedroom. The TV also had everything from Netflix to HBO. It was a great time for my friends and I. Do not hesitate to rent!
All of us loved our stay here. It’s conveniently located near Heavenly and Kirkwood resorts, and had tools in the shed to remove snow from the driveway. Instructions for arrival and departure were very clear, and all of us had a great time here! The house was very spacious, and the TV has netflix, hbo, and other networks we used to watch shows after a long day of skiing.
Doug’s cabin was absolutely perfect! I came with a group of friends and co workers, and we had everything we could have possibly needed, in one of the most beautiful settings I could have imagined. The cabin was comfortable, with a cozy sweet wood burning stove and a hot tub right outside. Few things in life can beat a hot tub in the snow. Doug and the caretaker were super nice and accommodating, I cannot thank them enough. Can’t wait to come back!
Wow. This how I describe this cabin. It was super clean and the bedrooms were very well maintained. We never ran out of towels. The washer and dryer were very very convenient. Doug was very attentive and accommodating. Our group loved the quality of toilet paper. Weird but was very nice touch. The smart tvs were great for lounging around. The only thing we found that was a little disappointing was there was very little light on the porch/driveway. Overall it was such an amazing cabin and it was one of the most memorable parts of our trip. Thank you so much Doug!
Doug does a great job making you feel at home in his cabin. It’s clean, comfortable, spacious, and quiet. The cabin is well off the beaten path of busy downtown South Tahoe but still close enough to take part in touristy stuff. We had a blast playing around the lake as well as sitting in our hammock in the peace and quiet of the cabin’s front yard. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for our family. Even grandma was happy and she’s really picky! Thanks Doug for helping create great memories of Lake Tahoe.
One of my best winter vacations ever!! I cannot thank Doug enough for his hospitality. Booking was a snap and the communication was great. From the very beginning Doug offered flexibility as far as arriving and checking in, provided local guidance and advise on how to best spend our time there. The house manual was very detailed and helpful, too. In addition, Doug threw in fantastic free perks which I won’t reveal here, but that gave our vacation a great start and saved us quite a bit of money. I am extremely pleased with Doug’s handling of our booking. The cabin was exactly what we needed. Quiet location in the woods with easy access to skiing resorts, shopping and entertainment. Cabin caretakers Catherine and Richard were very welcoming and always available. Wonderful experience overall! Highly recommended!
What a spectacular place! The cabin was the perfect spot and just what we were looking for. It was quiet and not too close to neighbors so we felt like it was our own little place. The kitchen is spectacular and great for all our cooking endeavors throughout the weekend. We LOVED the deck – sitting outside in the fresh air but not in direct sunlight. And that hot tub! What a great addition – at night the lights were a lot of fun to play with and everyone received well needed massages from the jets. I would highly recommend this place to anyone heading to the Tahoe area. Doug was extremely responsive and took care of us quickly. There was no trouble getting into the cabin at all and everything was described just as mentioned. Thank you again so much for a great weekend and I am sure we will be back!

The neighborhood is wooded and quiet. From the deck you are surrounded by pine trees and can gaze at the stars. Grocery and gas are about three miles, Stateline casinos about five, Reno-Tahoe Airport about 55.
Winter: rent 4WD with mud-and-snow tires if you fly into Reno. Chains can be required on the pass from September through June. Our snow removal service clears the driveway once 6 inches accumulates, once every 24 hours. The county plows the neighborhood at 1–2 feet. Pioneer Trail is plowed more often.
